There are two types of satellite internet to choose from. They are one-way and two-way. One-way is used in conjunction with a standard, 56k dial up modem. The dial up modem side of the system is used for uploading data, while the satellite dish itself is used solely for downloading data. Two-way satellite internet doesn’t require a dial up connection because it uses the satellite dish for both the uploading and downloading of data.
